Acrylic on polypropylene
12 x 12 inches
$1,200 via PIEROGI online Flat File
I referred to a local DC flat file program in an earlier post, and I think it was probably somewhat modeled after this one. Pierogi gallery in Brooklyn is in a small space that’s named after its former use as a pierogi store (yum!). In the early 2000s, they came up with a flat file program in order to be able to showcase work more work by more artists. Luckily for use, their ever changing catalog of works is also available online to peruse and get lost in. I found this gem by Nick Ozgunay – an ethereal painting on polypropylene, which is a gauzy, synthetic material that probably lends to the feathery layers of black paint.
