Watercolor on paper (framed)
9.5 x 9.5 inches
$700 via Mollusk Surf Shop
I read about San Fransisco’s Mollusk Surf Shop in a lifestlyle culture magazine. The piece features images of the shops quirky treehouse-like architecture and eclectic mix of products besides its roots in Surf board design/production. I thought I’d check out their site and see if they also had household wares (i.e. art!).
The online shop features a slew of Bay-Area areas and a mix of price points with really great silkscreened posters and prints, and a range of paintings and 3d works from artists at different points in their careers. I was drawn to this rainbow abstraction. I loved the delicate color shifts and muted palette. It’s by San Fransisco based Serena Mitnik-Miller who is also a designer. She’s represented by Joshua Liner Gallery in New York.
